Finding a Seat: Passengers would then find an available seat inside the Jeepney. Jeepneys have bench-style seating, and passengers often sit closely together.
Paying the Fare: When seated, passengers would either wait for the conductor (known as a "barker" or "kundoktor") to come around or pass their fare to other passengers to hand to the conductor. The conductor collects the fare from each passenger.
Fare Collection: The conductor carries a small metal box or container to collect and store the fares. Passengers would hand over their fare directly to the conductor, who would then provide change if needed.
Announcing the Stop: To signal that they wanted to get off, passengers would either call out the name of their destination or tap the metal railing inside the Jeepney to make a noise. The conductor would signal the driver to stop at the next available location.
Exiting the Jeepney: Passengers would exit the Jeepney through the rear or front door, depending on their location within the vehicle.
